Describe your college experience
My transition to college has been a really good experience so far. Coming to BYU has been a big change from what I was used to, especially having to manage my own time and balance school, work, and other responsibilities. It took some time to get into a good routine, but I have learned a lot about being independent and staying organized. I have also enjoyed meeting new people and getting more experience in construction management through my classes and internships. Overall, I feel like college has helped me grow a lot, and I am excited about what I can accomplish while I am here.
Tip for future students
- College will go by a lot faster than you think. While you are here get as involved as you can - You will meet some of your best friends in the most random places, so always be open to meeting new people - The more you schedule, the more time you will have - Find hobbies that allow you to get away from school for a little. Get outside and go hiking. Learn to rockclimb. Anything that gets you outdoors
Favorite class
My favorite class has been my Residential Landscape Design class. I was able to develop my design skills and my professor was the best.
Career goals
I hope to work as a project manager at a construction company.
Ideal way to spend a free night
My ideal way to spend a free night would be to go out to dinner with my wife and some friends at a restaurant I haven't been to before.
High school or secondary school
Mountain View High School
Favorite spot on campus
My favorite spot on campus is the botanical gardens. It is a great place to get outside of the classroom for a little and decompress. It is also a great place to walk around and stretch your legs after sitting in the MARB for two hours.
Meeting point
Joseph F. Smith Building Courtyard on the Brigham Young University campus
