Describe your college experience

My transition to UCSB was both exciting and challenging, but ultimately very rewarding. I’ve learned how to balance a rigorous academic schedule with an active social life, getting involved in student organizations while staying focused on my goals. Being on campus has helped me grow academically, socially, and personally.

Tip for future students

Don’t be afraid to ask for help early, office hours, study groups, and campus resources make a huge difference. Also, try to get involved socially your first quarter; it really helps you feel connected and settled faster.

Favorite class

My favorite class has been introductory chemistry because it challenged me academically while helping me build strong problem-solving skills. The material was demanding but rewarding, and it helped shape my academic interests.

Career goals

After college, I plan to pursue a career in healthcare, with a strong interest in surgery and cardiac perfusion. I hope to continue my education through a specialized graduate or professional program and work in a hands-on clinical role that combines science, precision, and patient care.

Ideal way to spend a free night

Grabbing dinner with friends, going on a walk around campus or the beach, and then winding down with a movie or studying together.

High school or secondary school

Valley Christian High school San Jose CA, and I did community college dual credit courses online through high school at Colorado Christian University and Coalinga College.
