Experienced premedical student who knows every nook and cranny the BYU community
Hello, my name is Andrew! I am currently a Cell Biology major at BYU with plans to attend medical school, and I would never trade my time here at BYU for anything. It has absolutely shaped my academic interests and the way that I interact with everyone around me. I am outdoorsy and love to spend time with friends, and I know that the undergraduate experience is both a social endeavor as much as it is academic. I am excited to show you around and share my experiences, but make sure to bring any questions you might have so we can explore BYU in a way thats right for you!

Describe your college experience
My transition to college was fairly seamless academically speaking. I had a lot of AP credits from high school so I already had completed a lot of my coursework. In a social aspect, it was a little trickier and took me some time to adjust. But I have made wonderful friends and have formed great connections with the BYU community.
Tip for future students
One thing that I wish I knew before starting college is the best time to put in the most work is when it feels like there isn't a lot of work to do at all.
Favorite class
My favorite class has been Evolutionary Medicine mainly because it shaped the way that I see disease and illness from proximate to ultimate causes. It also helped me better understand the world around me.
Career goals
I want to attend medical school and become a physician. I have been thinking about interventional cardiology or oncology.
Ideal way to spend a free night
My ideal way to spend a free night is with friends outside. That could be biking, hiking, pickleball, etc.
High school or secondary school
Farmington High School
Favorite spot on campus
My favorite spot is the fourth floor of the Joseph F. Smith Building. It has these beautiful panoramic views of the mountains and I love to sit their and complete my readings and other assignments.
