ERC Archeology Major gives Honest UCSD Tour
Hi! I'm Helen, (he/she/they), and I'm an ERC Archeology student here to give you a tour with all the pros and cons and expert tips! When I'm not studying or at work, I'm playing double bass in the chamber orchestra, hanging out around the UCSD queer community, and running the TTRPG club as it's president.

Describe your college experience
The transition to college was a tricky thing for me to figure out, but once I got my feet back under me, I hit my stride, learning more about what I wanted from my adult life then I had before.
Tip for future students
Remember that you have more flexibility than you think. Enroll in more classes then you plan to stay in and drop them in time for a refund, go to club meetings and see if you want to stay, try new things and break routines if they will make you feel better.
Favorite class
Underwater Archeology, ANAR 164. Set me on my career path and I have never looked back.
Career goals
Underwater archeology research, grad school, and working at museum curation.
Ideal way to spend a free night
I like to take my free nights to cook, or head to campus for a game of D&D with friends.
High school or secondary school
I went to a small Project Based learning high school, so the transition from a 100 person class to a massive school was a big change.
Previous college
I took classes at Sacramento City College, but only asynchronously.
Meeting point
Triton Fountain on the University of California San Diego campus
