Describe your college experience

My experience at FSU has been amazing!! The advisors in the English department made me feel welcome, and there are plenty of resources to help new college students. There are so many hidden gems around campus, and lots of nature surrounds each building. I feel like I'm in a movie when I'm walking to class.

Tip for future students

Definitely get involved in clubs! Clubs are a great way to meet new people, find your interests, and make connections for the future. Attending job fairs is also a must for discovering potential employers and internship opportunities.

Favorite class

My favorite class so far has been ENC3416: Writing & Editing in Print & Online. This class blends writing with graphic design and media, which allowed me to sharpen my artistic skills. I had fun working on projects such as designing a magazine using Canva and creating a meaningful portfolio that I could use for internships and jobs. My professor also provided us with resources, readings, and lessons on how to use graphic design platforms.

Career goals

I hope to work as a staff writer for a magazine or a copywriter for a company.

Ideal way to spend a free night

I love to visit the Tally Cat Cafe, go bowling at Capital Lanes, or eat out with friends.

I attended Broward College for one semester before transferring to FSU. The transition to FSU was smooth because my advisors ensured that all my credits were completed and that I was comfortable being in a new environment.
