Energetic business / pre-med student who loves to have fun

Hi I'm Brent! I'm a sophomore here at BYU and I love it here! I am majoring in Finance but am also taking science classes to take the MCAT and go to medical school. I love anything that has to do with sports or the outdoors. I love playing football, basketball, going hiking, mountain climbing, and camping. I came to BYU from San Francisco and I love just about everything about BYU. There are so many little things that make this the best place ever - beautiful hidden study spots, awesome pizza places in town, and so much more! I can't wait to help you get to know more about BYU and Provo, and please come with plenty of questions!

Describe your college experience

I have loved my college experience and have felt incredibly successful as I have transitioned from high school to college. The increased responsibilities of a college level student have brought a larger workload and higher expectations. These challenges have pushed me to become a more dedicated student and learner.

Tip for future students

Reach out and be friendly! Almost everyone is new and looking for friends. If you're the kind of person to reach out and be inviting, people will want to be your friend and hang out with you!

Favorite class

My favorite class was Cell Bio 120. I took this class my freshman year and it taught me a lot about biology but even more about how to succeed in a college level class. The class taught me valuable lessons of time management and study habits.

Career goals

I want to go to medical school and become a sports medicine doctor. I have aspirations of one day running my own practice.

Ideal way to spend a free night

I would plan to go to a party with my friends, but if there isn't a party I would get friends together to do something outside - maybe pickle ball or basketball or just go get food together.

Favorite spot on campus

My favorite spot on campus is the library. It helps me focus and get work done.
