Describe your college experience

I have an an amazing experience thus far at Stanford. From meeting friends from all around the globe and participating in club sport to engaging in deep, intellectual conversations, getting to speak directly to some of the most engaging and incredible professors, every moment of my time at Stanford has been everything I had hoped for and more.

Tip for future students

Get ready to ask a lot of questions. Seriously, don't be shy about going to office hours, raising your hand in lecture, and discussing concepts beyond just the classroom. I have found that this is the best way to understand material at a deeper level and truly succeed as a college student at a rigorous university.

Favorite class

So far, my favorite class has been abnormal psychology. I have developed a curiosity for discovering what makes us a humans unique, the interplay of genetics and environment, and even what distinguishes sane from insane. This class provided a unique opportunity to engage with the diagnosis and treatment of disorders in the DSM. The professor was highly engaging, offering examples of cases that she has seen during her career and even offering us a few opportunities to dissect case studies throughout the quarter.

Career goals

I am not set on one particular path after I finish my undergraduate degree. However, I hope to combine my passions for computer science and psychology in ways that can make a difference in people's lives.

Ideal way to spend a free night

Some nights I love to take walks with my friends around campus, sharing highlights from our days and making plans for the weekend. On other, quieter nights, I'll relax in my room and catch up on the NYT crosswords I've missed during the week.
