Communications student with a love of songwriting and college life!
Hi I'm Olivia! I toured a lot of schools around Utah before I chose to come to BYU. This university has many strengths that I'd love to showcase to interested students. Some of my favorite things are learning new languages, songwriting, dancing, and singing. I love finding ways to connect with other students in my hobbies and exploring the experiences BYU has to offer. One of my favorite ways to have fun on campus is going to sports games with my brother and my friends!

Describe your college experience
College for me was different than I expected at first. There's a lot of good opportunities, but nothing lands in your lap! You always have to seek out those experiences and if you choose them, you will have a good overall experience.
Tip for future students
Ipads are a lifesaver! I love having my ipad to take notes and to download online textbooks and annotate them. The majority of the textbooks nowadays are online so it is good to prepare for that.
Favorite class
My favorite class is ASL. I didn't know any ASL before college but I have had an amazing experience learning it here at BYU. The people are really friendly and I have developed a love for the language and the culture.
Career goals
After college I hope to get a job working in the communications field! I'd love to do content creation or social media management for companies or individuals.
Ideal way to spend a free night
I like spending free nights with close friends and family doing a fun activity together. For example, going to a football game with my brother or having a movie night with a few friends.

Favorite spot on campus
My favorite place on campus is the fountain behind the Joseph Fielding Smith Building. It is a really beautiful courtyard and I enjoy studying there away from the crowds.
