Clemson Tour Guide for Upcoming/Interested Students
Hi, my name is Jessica Johnson and I'm a Junior at Clemson University. I spent my first two years in the nursing program here and will be transferring to Lander University in the fall. I absolutely love it here and it was one of the best decisions I've ever made! I'd be happy to try to answer any questions you have and look forward to showing you around our beautiful campus!

Describe your college experience
My transition to college was pretty easy because I've always been more independent, but I did have so issues in the beginning figuring out how to study for each class.
Tip for future students
Use the resources that the school provides for you. When I was a Freshman I wish I would have taken advantage of the free tutoring on campus and other resources that the ASC provides. I would also suggest you get to know your professors and make sure you know at least two people in each of your classes that you can get classwork from if you are ever absent.
Favorite class
My Lifespan Developmental Psych class has by far been one of my favorites. The professor that I have for it is really great and the material is really interesting!
Career goals
I hope to pass the NCLEX and become a nurse. Hopefully, I'll be able to find a job up here so I can be close for future games and events!
Ideal way to spend a free night
My ideal night would honestly either be catching up on sleep or hanging out with some friends!
High school or secondary school
Pelion High School: Pelion, SC USC Sumter: virtual Midlands Technical College: Columbia, SC Clemson University: Clemson, SC
Previous college
I started out at Clemson, but I have taken summer classes at other institutions. Getting everything transferred over can be kind of confusing if you don't know what you're doing. So make sure you are in touch with your advisor at your current school and the transfer advisor at the institution your transferring credits from.
