BYU Pre-Business major – Passionate About Campus & Student Engagement

Hi! My name is Audrey, a sophomore on the pre-business track here at BYU. When I first came to BYU as a freshman, I felt like an outsider with no friends and no idea what to study. But I quickly learned to love this school as I got involved with clubs, sports, volunteering, and more, and I really feel like I've found my path here. I'm excited to help others learn to love this school as much as I do!

Describe your college experience

I originally didn't know anyone coming to BYU. I was worried I would feel lonely. But BYU has so many amazing opportunities to socialize. I have made life-long friends through classes, volunteering, intermural sports, and more. And I love knowing that because of BYU's core beliefs these friends share my same values and always push me to be my best.

Tip for future students

In terms of academics, I would say don't use TA's as a last resort, use them as a constant resource because they are always helpful. In the social sense, I would say don't be afraid to try an activity or get involved with something you've never tried before, you may just find something you really love.

Favorite class

Accounting 201 has been my favorite class so far because it was intimidating at first, but it taught me real-world applicable skills that I actually really enjoyed learning about.

Career goals

After I graduate with a bachelors degree I plan to continue my education and get an MBA. After that I plan on working in either accounting or marketing.

Ideal way to spend a free night

My ideal way to spend a free night is getting a group of friends together and playing sand volleyball, or other similar sports. I love spending time with my friends and I love a little lighthearted competition.

High school or secondary school

Alta High School

Favorite spot on campus

My favorite spot on campus is the second floor of the library where they always have soft study music on in the background
