Describe your college experience

Transitioning to NC State was exciting and challenging in the best way. My first semester overseas was certainly different, but helped me meet a ton of new people. Being part of organizations like Theta Chi and studying abroad gave me a strong sense of community. I quickly learned how to manage my time, balance academics with social life, and take advantage of all the resources NC State offers. Studying abroad in Prague was a life-changing experience that taught me independence and broadened my perspective.

Tip for future students

Get involved early—it’s the best way to meet people and feel connected. Don’t be afraid to try new things, whether it’s a club, intramural sport, or study abroad. Also, use your time wisely—go to class, use the gym, and take advantage of resources like tutoring and advising. And definitely make time to enjoy NC State’s amazing sports culture!

Favorite class

One of my favorite classes so far has been MIE 201 (Introduction to Business Processes). It gave me a solid foundation in how different parts of a business work together, plus the real-world case studies and group projects made it engaging and practical. I also took this class overseas and got to see how creating a business was like and how that business did in another country. This class definitely helped me confirm that I want to pursue a career in business strategy.

Career goals

I’m aiming for a career in business strategy or finance, possibly in consulting or corporate development. Long-term, I want to lead a team that makes a real impact on business performance and helps solve big-picture problems.

Ideal way to spend a free night

My perfect night would be going to a Wolfpack football or basketball game with friends, then grabbing Cook Out or hanging out at someone’s apartment. If there’s no game, I’m hitting the gym, watching a movie, or just catching up with friends.
