Biochemistry/Economics - UCLA Campus Tour Guide
Hello! My name is Yozer and I am a Sophomore at UCLA double majoring in Biochemistry and Economics! As an official UCLA Campus Tour Guide, I'm well-informed about the primary operations of UCLA and its academics, but also its student life! Feel free to ask me whatever questions you would like to, and I'll either be able to answer them immediately or point you to a place where you can get that answer you're looking for! (Will not be able to give in-person tours until Late September)

Describe your college experience
Transitioning into to college was a bit rough at first because I don't think I fully knew what to expect, but I'd say I adjusted pretty quickly and that UCLA has become my second home. The community and the people that are at UCLA is just absolutely incredible and it was absolutely the right choice for me! The academics may be challenging, but nothing could detract from the memories that I've made at UCLA!
Tip for future students
Don't be afraid of change, and learn how to say both yes AND no!
Favorite class
My favorite class by far has been AN N EA 15W - Women and Power in the Ancient World! It taught me so much about how society functions and where gender dynamics come from, and genuinely changed my life! Professor Kara Cooney is hilarious and so well versed in her field as well!
Career goals
I'm looking to enter the pharmaceutical industry, likely either doing research and development or becoming a pharmacist through pharmacology school.
Ideal way to spend a free night
Absolutely just going out to somewhere in Westwood or Sawtelle and grabbing food with my friends, or going to Century City to do some shopping or watch a movie! Whatever it is, it'd definitely include me spending my time with friends.
High school or secondary school
Oakwood High School
Favorite spot on campus
The Sculpture Gardens! It's by far my favorite place because it's such a calm place, and it's a great place to study or clear your mind.
Meeting point
Bruin Statue on the University of California Los Angeles campus
