Aspiring Finance Student at the University of Miami

I am an aspiring Finance student at the University of Miami. During my free time I enjoy lifting, Pilates, and any form of water activity. I love to meet new people and I am extremely passionate about UMiami (especially the football team). Go Canes!

Describe your college experience

My college experience at UM has been nothing short of exciting. I have met some of my best friends who are going to be apart of my life for a lifetime ahead. When I was looking at college, I wanted to attend a school that was spirited and passionate. The culture at UM exceeded my expectations, and I am so lucky to be apart of the Canes family.

Tip for future students

Before starting college, I wish someone would tell me that everything works out in the way it's supposed to. When you first enter college it may seem like everyone has their groups formed. However, it wasn't until my sophomore year and end of freshman year that I really found my solid group of people. Sure, you may meet friends in the beginning that will stick around, but that isn't the case for everyone. The biggest piece of advice I would give is to always be authentically yourself. If you are masking your own personality around other people, then that isn't the crowd that you are meant to be in.

Favorite class

My favorite class at UMiami has been my Business Law class. I felt that it challenged me to think outside of the box, and I am always up for a challenge. I also love to be right so it was satisfying to me that I was able to argue both sides, as long as I argued it correctly. It was in this class that I discovered my passion for law, and decided to pursue a minor in business law.

Career goals

After college I plan to pursue a career in Finance. I would like to move back to the Northeast and hopefully start working in New York City. While I still have a passion to law, I am also considering going to law school after college. I would like to move back home to New Jersey for that, and either go to a school in New Jersey or New York City.

Ideal way to spend a free night

My ideal night includes snuggling up to watch a movie with my friends. I usually like to go to the gym later on a night in because I feel so much calmer after working out. The perfect night either includes a successful creation of a recipe that I found scrolling through Instagram reels, or the perfect sushi order. When I am at school I like to conclude my nights in with a walk to Whip N Dip with my friends. It's a perfect day if they have the cookie butter flavor because that is my favorite. I usually like to conclude my night with a nice hot cup of tea while sitting on the roof of my apartment building.

Favorite spot on campus

My favorite spot on campus (which I like to consider my hidden gem) is the arboretum. I found the arboretum during my sophomore year fall semester finals week. I was walking around campus, in desperate need of a brain break, and stumbled upon the arboretum. There, I was able to find peace and comfort during such a challenging time. I needed a second to decompress, and my discovery of this spot allowed me to do just that. Since finding the arboretum, I have become a frequent visitor whenever I need a second to relax.
