Hello!! I’m Aria, a Psychology and Philosophy major at Rutgers New Brunswick. Here's some more info about my Rutgers experience: -I joined the Psychology LLC (Living Learning Community) my freshman year and made so many amazing friends (who I now live with on Busch), and got to learn about the plethora of Rutgers' educational, social, and vocational opportunities. I would love to share what I've learned about Rutgers to better inform your decision, and to show you much I genuinely love Rutgers. -I absolutely love learning, and I'm so invested in both of my majors. Rutgers is actually ranked as the second best philosophy program in the entire country! -I started a club called Rutgers Critical Media this year, a writing-focused club where we discuss shows, movies, books, etc. I have valuable insight on what its like to run a club as well as how valuable it is to join these kinds of clubs to make connections!

Describe your college experience

College has offered so many opportunities to enhance my education, discover my interests and hobbies, and meet so many awesome people. Joining the LLC made the transition from high school to college so much smoother and I highly recommend! My classes and professors have also been so helpful in my educational journey.

Tip for future students

Make good use of the opportunities college gives you! There are so many outlets for socializing, so many resources to utilize for studying, and so many classes that are perfect for exploring interests.

Favorite class

Intro to Ethics offered an amazing class environment, a professor with a passion for teaching, a focus on personal growth, and freedom of expression in our assignments.

Career goals

Currently I’m looking to become a therapist of some kind, but I’m also debating becoming a professor since I love mentoring and teaching.

Ideal way to spend a free night

Spend time with my close friends, like playing Magic the Gathering or a video game, watching a show, or going on an adventure.
