Architect/Dance major, knows where all the best study and fun places are!
Hello, I’m Madeline a freshman at BYU, hoping to study architecture alongside Dance. I know all the shortcuts so you can do less walking. I’ve gone to camps here at BYU many times so even though on a freshman, I have quite a bit of experience. I encourage all students who attend BYU to participate in everything you can. The spirit has never been stronger since I started attending. But in order to feel that spirit you need to put yourself because it’s worth it.

Describe your college experience
I’ve never been in such an incredible place with so many incredible people. I’m so glad that I’m in a spot where I cannot only learn and grow intellectually, but also spiritually.
Tip for future students
Participate, it’s so important to get involved right away. Learn about all the things that college has to offer. But it’s also good to know that you won’t be able to make it to every event so pace yourself.
Favorite class
My dance classes, because I like the stress relief I feel entering the class room
Career goals
I hope to start my own architectural firm design designing buildings, landscapes, houses, as well as interior decorating.
Ideal way to spend a free night
A big group of friends having a game night or just spending quality time together.
High school or secondary school
Peak Academy and The Technical College of the Rockies
Favorite spot on campus
My favorite spot on campus has to be the Marriott center. I love this building so much because it’s where we have our weekly devotionals. It’s also where the basketball games take place. It’s so amazing how a basketball stadium can be turned into a reverent gigantic classroom.
Meeting point
Joseph F. Smith Building Courtyard on the Brigham Young University campus
