An architecture student who sketch a lot of the campus buildings
Hi, I'm Olive, a (upcomming) junior in architecture. I am currently taking the 4 year b.art program with a minor in computation design. I grow up in Shanghai China and moved to Bangkok Thailand for my highschool, now this is my third year in Pittsburgh. You might find me in the Sorrel library, UC grabbing a rev noodle or abp. or in the maggie mo studio. i hope to provide you guys a honest inside scope of where everyday life in CMU would be like, and what life in pittsburgh are generally like.

Describe your college experience
In high school, I studied for the sake of passing the exam except for art. But here, I started finding my academic interests and began to have a vague vision of what I want to do in my life.
Tip for future students
Spend freshman (or perhaps) year understanding what you want, don't framing this as a only discussion of grade.
Favorite class
Fundamental of computational design. This is a project based class that opens up a lot of new possibility in the fields. and it is very rare for undergraduate school in architecture to include this in the curriculum. A professor in entertainment technology came to my research exhibition once said to me how i was very lucky to got introduced to this at such an early age and decided on what i want to do.
Career goals
I want to apply to a one-year master's program at CMU in either computational design or human-computer interaction. After that, I will either work in a tech company or as a product manager, or study for phd depending on my actual academic focus.
Ideal way to spend a free night
Hang out with my friend for dinner. Start doing random things such as walking to a park at night, and when we get tired enough go back home
High school or secondary school
Bangkok Patana School
Favorite spot on campus
Sorrel library. It has these Herman Miller ergonomic chair all students can use for free.
Meeting point
