Indiana University
Amelia - student at Indiana University Bloomington
Hello! My name is Amelia and I am currently a student at Indiana University, studying Finance at the Kelley School of Business. I am from a small suburb of New York and came to IU for the first time this fall! On campus, I’m very involved in Kelley clubs like Alternative Investment Group and Financial Planning Association, and I also plan to join Greek Life in the spring. I live in a very social dorm community and have friends across campus all studying diverse fields. In my free time, I love spending time with friends, playing sports here on campus, exploring restaurants in Bloomington, and meeting new people!

Describe your college experience
Coming to college out of state and not from the Midwest was surely intimidating and out of my comfort zone being so far from home. I quickly felt very comfortable at IU because of the culture of the campus, the incredible housing and campus staff, and all the support the university provides. My experience has been amazing so far and there is always something to do or to look forward to. The opportunities here are truly endless and there is something for everyone at IU!
Tip for future students
Say yes to everything (within reason) because you never know where an opportunity might lead you Think about what kind of work hard/play hard balance you want to have Think about the kinds of people you want to surround yourself with Develop good study habits Think about what you want to study and what activities you think will interest you and sign up for them! Most important, keep an open mind
