Hi! I’m Mikayla, a freshman and Coastal Carolina majoring in Psychology. I am from Upstate New York, and came to Coastal for the chance to make a difference in my life and other peoples. I am always down for doing new things, adventures, and good conversations. I love swimming, music, hanging out with my friends, and dancing. I am very excited to be attending Coastal Carolina as I feel it has brought me out of my comfort zone and challenged me to try new things. You’ll usually find me in my suite with my roommates, walking around campus with an iced coffee, or in the Library studying and listening to music. I am happy to show everyone around campus to show you the best hidden gem food places, quietest places to study, or what welcome week events to go to in order to get the best free souvenirs!

Describe your college experience

My transition to college at first was a little bit difficult, but meeting new people and bonding with my roommates has made it a lot better and extremely enjoyable

Tip for future students

Put yourself out there and meet as many people, and go to as many campus events and activities as you can

Favorite class

My favorite class has been my Psychology 101 class because I like learning about how the brain works and why people react and behave the way that they do.
