Walk Penn with Me!
Hi! I'm Tati, a sophomore on the pre-law track majoring in Political Science and History. My first time stepping into campus I didn't know anyone, but I knew this was the perfect place where I was going to spend my next four years of college as I looked into the beautiful buildings on campus and interacted with the amazing staff we have. You'll usually catch me at the gym or playing basketball, reading or studying in the iconic Quad, or going on walks to explore the beautiful city of Philadelphia. I genuinely love Penn and everything it offers: amazing career opportunities, professors, and life-long friends. I'd be more than happy to show you all the hidden gems, the best study spots fro crunch time and give you the honest inside scoop on what life is actually here and what a day to day looks like. Come with questions and I'll be ready to answer!

Describe your college experience
I've only been in college for a year now and so far my experience has been positive. Even though first semester was very rough, second semester was such an improvement as I started finding my niche of what I wanted to study and found my community and friends on campus.
Tip for future students
Be ready to be academically challenged as many professors expect you to do a lot of work and learning on your own. Also, Penn is a very competitive environment, so please don't compare yourself to others and remember that everyone has a different path in life.
Favorite class
My favorite class so far has been Intro to Latin American Studies because it deepened my knowledge of U.S.-Latin American relations and history has opened up a world of curiosity for me, especially as I was born and raised in Colombia.
Career goals
After college, my ultimate goal is to become a lawyer most likely in international litigation working with Latin America.
Ideal way to spend a free night
Having dinner in a restaurant in Center City (downtown of Philadelphia) with friends and then coming back to campus to hang out and watch a movie all together.
High school or secondary school
Lake Howell High School
Favorite spot on campus
My favorite spot on campus is the Quad because it is where I lived last year and I have so many fond memories there. It is also an amazing spot to either study or have lunch with friends.
