Describe your college experience
Transitioning to college was hard at first, but I made it a priority to join clubs and get involved on campus. Putting myself out there helped me meet new people and find a strong sense of community. The connections made the adjustment easier and allowed me to grow both personally and academically.
Tip for future students
Learn how to study effectively and don’t be afraid to put yourself out there. College is a fresh start to take the initiative to meet new people, join clubs, and ask for help when you need it. Building good habits early and finding your community can make all the difference.
Favorite class
My favorite class has been Introduction to Disability Studies. I really enjoyed what I learned because it opened my eyes to how society defines and treats disability. It challenged me to think differently about access, inclusion, and justice, further helping me understand the importance of advocating for marginalized communities.
Career goals
After college, I hope to pursue a career in healthcare administration. I’m deeply passionate about healthcare policy, management, and health equity, with a strong interest in community health, mental health care, and patient advocacy. My goal is to help shape policies and improve healthcare systems to make care more accessible, equitable, and patient-centered.
Ideal way to spend a free night
My ideal night off would be having a chill night of baking cookies with friends and watching a movie. I’d love to have a relaxing evening just laughing, snacking, and enjoying each other’s company without any pressure or stress.
