Guide Referral Program Terms of Service

The SchoolScoops Referral Program (the “Program”) allows current SchoolScoops users (“Users”) to earn referral bonuses by inviting new individuals to join SchoolScoops as tour guides (“Guides”). By participating in the Program, you agree to these terms, which are incorporated into the SchoolScoops Terms of Service. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in the SchoolScoops Terms of Service.

Under the Program, Users may earn a referral bonus by referring a new individual to become a SchoolScoops Guide. To qualify for a referral bonus, all of the following conditions must be satisfied: the referred individual must be a new user who creates a new account; the referred individual must accurately enter the referring User’s name in the “Were you referred by someone” field at the time of creating their guide listing; the referred individual’s guide listing must be approved by SchoolScoops; and the referred Guide must successfully host their first tour on the platform.

A referral bonus of $20 will be earned only after all qualifying conditions have been met. Payment is typically issued within thirty (30) days following the completion of the referred Guide’s first tour.

A qualifying tour must be completed and not canceled, refunded, or disputed. Referral bonuses are only payable if both the referring User and referred Guide are in good standing at the time of payment. Referral payments will be credited to your SchoolScoops balance on the “Payout” page. Funds may be transferred from this balance to your designated bank account via Stripe. Users are responsible for providing and maintaining accurate bank account and payout information. SchoolScoops is not responsible for failed or delayed payments due to incorrect or incomplete information. Referral bonuses are promotional in nature, have no independent cash value, are non-transferable, and may not be redeemed outside of the SchoolScoops platform.

SchoolScoops reserves the right to withhold, delay, or revoke referral bonuses if it determines, in its sole discretion, that any activity is fraudulent, abusive, or intended to circumvent the intent of the Program.

Referrals are tracked solely based on the information provided by the referred Guide at the time of listing creation. It is the responsibility of the referred Guide to correctly enter the referring User’s name in the “Were you referred by someone” field. SchoolScoops is not responsible for any failure to attribute a referral due to incomplete, incorrect, or missing information. SchoolScoops may, but is not obligated to, contact Users to verify referral details.

To be eligible, referred Guides must be new users who have not previously registered as a SchoolScoops Guide under the same or a different name. Self-referrals, duplicate accounts, or any attempt to manipulate the Program will result in disqualification and may result in removal from the platform. A referred Guide may only be associated with one referring User. In the event of a dispute, SchoolScoops will determine referral attribution in its sole discretion.

The Program is intended for personal, non-commercial use. Users may not engage in unsolicited communications, mass distribution, automated messaging, or any form of spam in connection with referrals. Referral opportunities may not be posted on coupon sites, deal forums, or other commercial platforms, nor may Users pay for advertising or promote referrals in a misleading or deceptive manner.

Referral bonuses may be treated as additional earnings and may be included in Guide payouts. Users are solely responsible for any applicable taxes or reporting obligations arising from participation in the Program.

SchoolScoops reserves the right to suspend or terminate the Program, or any User’s participation, at any time for any reason. SchoolScoops may also withhold, adjust, or revoke referral bonuses if it determines, in its sole discretion, that a User has engaged in fraudulent, abusive, or otherwise improper activity, or has violated these terms or the SchoolScoops Terms of Service.

SchoolScoops reserves the right to modify or discontinue referral bonus amounts at any time, in its sole discretion. Participation in the Program does not create any agency, partnership, or employment relationship.

We may update these terms at any time without prior notice. If we modify these terms, we will post the updated version on the SchoolScoops website, and such changes will be effective upon posting. Continued participation in the Program after any such update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

If any provision of these terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
