Your future tour guide, bestie, and biggest IU hype girl!

Hi! I am Peyton, a Neuroscience major and Spanish minor at IU on the pre-medical track with a passion for healthcare, meeting new people and getting involved. I'm outgoing, enthusiastic, not afraid of sticking out, and am always searching for the best study spots! I'm so grateful that I am a Hoosier and would love the chance to share my experience and help prospective students feel at home at IU! I know the college decision can be extremely daunting and I would be overjoyed to play a role in easing some of the questions students face! While I am very focused on my academics, outside of school you can usually find me exploring Bloomington, cheering on the Hoosiers, or convincing myself that I have time for "just one more" club or activity. One of the best things about IU is that there is always something happening and amazing people to meet. I hope to bring energy, personality, and Hoosier spirit to every tour!

Describe your college experience

My transition to college has been transformative. Coming to IU, I was eager to challenge myself academically, meet new people, and embrace my independence. While it's true that adjusting to a new environment and balancing the demands of college can be difficult, it's also the best way to grow in confidence and learn to take initiative. So far, Iv'e loved finding new ways to get involved, build new relationships, and discover what makes the IU community so strong. My experience has made me passionate about sharing that sense of belonging with prospective students, and helping them envision their own college experience at IU.

Tip for future students

Don't be afraid to talk to strangers- especially the first few months! Say yes to meeting new people and getting involved! At the end of the day, everyone wants to make new friends!

Favorite class

My favorite class so far has been Chem-117 because it challenges me, and reminds me why I am so passionate about science!

Career goals

I am an aspiring physician! I plan to attend medical school to become either a neurologist or cardiologist.

Ideal way to spend a free night

My ideal way to spend a free night is to meet up with friends, have a fun dinner, get ice cream at Hartzel's or Jiffy Treats and stroll down Kirkwood!

High school or secondary school

Andover High School

Favorite spot on campus

My favorite spot on campus is the bench on campus right outside of the chemistry building. It's surrounded by a beautiful canopy of trees, and is my favorite spot to relax before classes!
