Describe your college experience
Transitioning into college was initially very intimidating, with learning to be independent and being away from home, but you'll quickly get the hang of it! I've had so many new experiences, met awesome people, and learned so many new things. However, I've also remained in frequent contact with my friends and family from back home, telling them all about it!
Tip for future students
Explore, explore, and explore! This can apply to places, organizations, experiences, and so much more! Trying new things can be intimidating, but that's what we are all here for! Everyone is likely in the same boat, and if you don't like it, that's fine! What's most important is that you've tried and then you can decide whether you want to continue or not!
Favorite class
Statics! Taking this course as a second-semester freshman was super challenging, but I have definitely learned a lot, both in terms of the content and the hands-on experience. In addition to the traditional content, we learned to weld and build a simple truss.
Career goals
Before I graduate college, I aim to have already taken my Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam, and become an Engineer in Training (EIT). After graduating, I want to work towards becoming a Professional Engineer, specifically doing work in New York City!
Ideal way to spend a free night
I always love a good group hangout, whether that is chilling in the dorms playing some board games or watching a movie, attending campus events, or exploring and going out!
