Describe your college experience
The transition to high school to college was a lot less intimidating than I thought it would be! I made it a huge point to make friends during my first week on campus before classes started and am still friends with most of them today! As a senior and graduate student I still meet new people in my classes and have made lifelong friends! During my freshman year I perfected my study routine and made it a point to get my work done and understand everything as we were learning it and this has helped my grades tremendously!
Tip for future students
My biggest tip is to talk to as many people as you can and make some new friends! I also highly recommend doing your homework the day you learn it and going into your professors office hours! These will help you stay motivated, stress free, and professors are more likely to work with you when they know you well!
Favorite class
My favorite class has been research in taxation because the professor makes it fun and interesting! We learn a lot about different research topics, such as managing and investing your money efficiently! We also get to present and research our own topic that interests us!
Career goals
After I graduate I have a job as a staff accountant and I plan to get my CPA license. I also have started my own business while in school that Tulane alumni’s and professors have helped me tremendously with!
Ideal way to spend a free night
When I was younger I loved going out with my friends and trying new restaurants! Now as a senior and graduate student I love cooking with my friends and visiting new places around the city! I also love a good night in where I can relax, watch my favorite movies or shows, and do some self care!
