Hello! My name is Michael Clarelli but my friends call me Mikey. I am an upcoming senior here at Pitt and I am doubling majoring in Marketing and Global Management with a minor in Italian Language. I am in Pi Lambda Phi fraternity as well as being a co founder of Steel City Motor sports which is a club here at school. I am from Nazareth, PA where I was born and raised and some things I love to do are playing soccer, skiing, hanging out with my friends, video games, and traveling!

Describe your college experience

My transition to college was actually really smooth as the people I met within my first two weeks at Pitt my freshman year are still my best friends to this day and I wouldn't want it any other way. I have loved every part of my Pitt experience whether it has been football games, classes, concerts, the city, and everything in between I have loved every part of it. The best decision I ever made was to come to this school and ill never forget the time I have spent here.

Tip for future students

Somethings I wish I knew before coming to Pitt or some tips for future students is to explore the city, try new classes, and to not be afraid to join clubs or do things even if your friends aren't doing them as well. I still meet new people everyday and they are all really awesome! College is the best time to step out of your comfort zone and I guarantee it will positively add to your time at school.

Favorite class

My favorite classes have been my Italian language classes. The Italian program here at school is so amazing and everyone is so nice and welcoming. It really gives a family feel within the classroom and I'm so happy and proud to say I have completed my Italian minor.

Career goals

My goals for after college are to land a job in either the international business or marketing fields. Id love to have the chance to study different markets around the world and how they differ from others but I also hope to stay in Pittsburgh as this is the city I fell in love with.

Ideal way to spend a free night

My ideal way to spend a free night would either have to be to hangout with my lovely girlfriend or my friends. My girlfriend and I love to go on long walks around the city and Oakland as well as cook dinners together and watch our favorite shows. My friends and I like to also explore the city as well as hangout outside while listening to music and enjoying the weather on the porch. We also love to play video games together and play​/​watch sports.

Previous college

I was accepted to Pitt my freshman year but starting in the second semester so technically I was admitted as a freshman but also a transfer student. I transferred my credits from Northampton area Community College and it was a very easy and smooth transfer and I fell in love with being a Pitt Panther the day I got on campus in January.
