Describe your college experience
My experience at the university of South Carolina has been very good so far. Coming to such a big university is obviously a bit overwhelming and nerve-racking however the supportive and welcoming community and environment made such a huge difference. I found my place by joining student organizations, connecting with classmates, and taking advantage of campus resources. So far, my experience at USC has been incredibly rewarding. I've grown academically, made lasting friendships, and discovered new interests I never expected. It's been a journey of learning both in and outside the classroom.
Tip for future students
One tip I’d give to future students is to get involved early—join clubs, go to events, and don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone. USC offers so many opportunities, and the sooner you start exploring them, the more connected you’ll feel. I also wish I had known how important it is to ask for help when you need it—whether it's academic support, mental health resources, or just advice from older students, there’s always someone here to support you.
Favorite class
My favorite class so far has been either SEC Football or Sports Media and Society with Dr. Kevin Hull. Both classes were incredibly engaging and relevant to my major in sports media. Dr. Hull does a great job of connecting course material to real-world sports industry trends, and he brings so much energy and passion to his teaching. In Sports Media and Society, I loved learning how media coverage shapes the way we view athletes, teams, and major events.
Career goals
After college I would love to work with professional sports team social media pages.
Ideal way to spend a free night
My Ideal way to spend a free night is to hangout with my friends for a little bit and get something to eat and go to sporting event or chill at the pool or hot tub.
