University of Alabama
Student Insider
Hi! I’m Lexie — I’m a senior majoring in Psychology and Criminology with a minor in Sociology. I’m an Alabama native, and when I’m not in class, I’m involved in a few clubs and Greek life. I also love volunteering, spending time with my dogs, and finding the best study spots on campus. I’ve worked in everything from food service to childcare, so if you have any questions about student life, academics, or the best places to grab a bite, I’m your girl!

Describe your college experience
College has been a huge time of growth for me. I’ve learned so much in my Psychology and Criminology classes, but also through volunteering, working, and getting involved in student life. I’ve built confidence, made some of my closest friends, and discovered what I’m passionate about along the way
Tip for future students
Don’t stress about having it all figured out on day one — college is about learning who you are, not just what you want to do.
Favorite class
My favorite class so far has been Criminal Theories. It really opened my eyes to the ‘why’ behind criminal behavior and helped me think critically about justice, society, and human behavior.
Career goals
I hope to be a criminal profiler or crime scene investigator.
Ideal way to spend a free night
Honestly, college can be crazy. It’s nice to just sit down and watch a movie with my dog sometimes!
