University of Oregon
Student Campus Ambassador and Tour Guide
My name is Oliver and I am from Marin County, California, just on the other side of the Golden Gate Bridge. I love playing and watching sports, hanging out with my friends and family, being outdoors, and meeting new people. I have had an amazing experience at the University of Oregon and I want to show new people why they too can find their home here.

Describe your college experience
My transition to college was very smooth and seamless. I came in Knowing a few people and was able to quickly meet new people who I am still friends with today . In my student life so far, I have been I have enjoyed my athletic and academic experiences and well as my experience in greek life where I have been able to have leadership roles within my chapter.
Tip for future students
I recommend going to all of the activities put on by the University to be exposed to all of the amazing things Oregon has to offer. For anybody who is interested in greek life, I recommend rushing as that process allowed me to meet so many new people of all different age groups, many of them in other chapters who I am still friends with today. I recommend Going to all of the sports games, as is one of the many incredible experiences the University of Oregon has to offer. I would advise to take the Gen Ed classes that pertain to your values and interests the most, because there is a wide range of classes to take. For example, I do community service in Africa, so I took a class about African culture to fulfill an Arts and Letters requirement. It was something that I had a personal interest in and it made the class very engaging. I also recommend joining campus clubs and organizations. Since I have been here, I have been involved in the Real Estate Investment Group and Warsaw Sports Business Club. It has exposed me to new views and knowledge about what I have already been interested in.
Favorite class
My favorite class has been Econ 201 because it was something I was very interested. It showed me the ins and outs of how our economy works and it is a space that I want to be well educated in. Learning about our economy has given me so much insight and has opened my eyes on how the business space is impacted and effected. I had a great experience with my professor. Going to office hours and getting connected with my professor helped me succeed in the class and walk away with a new view of our economic system.
Career goals
After College, I want to find myself in a field where I feel like I enjoy what I am doing and continue to help out different communities. I am minoring in sports business as it is something that I have always loved, and I am on a track to hopefully find myself in that space where I can be emersed in a sports driven environment. I want to be able to travel the world as it is something I love to do, so I want to find a time where I am able to do so.
Ideal way to spend a free night
On a free night, I typically would love to spend it with my friends and family. In a mix of a busy schedule, I love to sit and relax with my favorite people. Weather it is playing games or watching tv, I love to be at home and take time away from everything else that I have in my day to day routine. I love to cook so I will also make a nice meal.
High school or secondary school
I want to Marin Catholic High School in Kentfield, California.
