Stanford Senior in Product Design + Mechanical Engineering!
Hi! I'm Minerva, a junior at Stanford studying Product Design with a focus in physical manufacturing and a minor in Mechanical Engineering. I'm a first-gen student, bilingual in English and Spanish, and super passionate about community, creativity, and making the most out of the college experience. I'm an RA, work at the Center for Teaching and Learning, and love hiking, rock climbing, and vlogging in my free time. I'd love to help you figure out if Stanford is the right fit for you :)

Describe your college experience
oming to Stanford as a first-gen student was equal parts exciting and overwhelming, but I found my people, my purpose, and my passion here faster than I expected. From design studios to research labs to dorm life as an RA, I've gotten a really well-rounded experience and I'm genuinely happy to talk about all of it, the highs and the learning curves included.
Tip for future students
Say yes to things before you feel ready. The opportunities here move fast, and the best experiences I've had came from jumping in before I had it all figured out!!!
Favorite class
Self Theories with Professor Carol Dweck — it completely changed how I think about growth, failure, and what it means to actually learn something.
Career goals
I want to work at the intersection of design and engineering, creating products that are both beautifully made and genuinely useful for people, ideally with a focus on health, community, or sustainability.
Ideal way to spend a free night
Cooking something good, watching a vlog or a show with my friends, end with some yoga!!
