Sophomore outgoing pre-law major who is involved in and outside the classroom!

Hi, I’m Jordan and I am a pre-law student who is highly academically focused. Outside of the classroom, I am also involved in greek life and several campus organizations across campus. I additionally love to go to the gym and sports games. I was so nervous coming to UMD from out of state but I couldn’t be happier with my choice as it has become a home for me. I hope to inspire others to come to the most wonderful school!

Describe your college experience

Coming from out of state, I was so nervous I wouldn’t make friends. But coming to Maryland has been the best decision of my life! I have made so many new friendships and love being in the diverse atmosphere Maryland brings. There are so many things to do on campus and off campus. I also love the proximity to D.C. as I love to shop with my best friends!

Tip for future students

Always be open to saying yes. Try something new and don’t be afraid to talk to someone else. You can find friends in the most unconventional ways!

Favorite class

My favorite class has been Hist211 because it went in depth about women’s history since 1865. It was interesting to see how women’s legislation has been furthered and hindered in the past few decades. Also, many of the articles we read were not included in common history books.

Career goals

I plan on going to law school or grad school.

Ideal way to spend a free night

Hanging out with my friends and going out with them!

High school or secondary school

Upper Dublin High School

Favorite spot on campus

My favorite spot would be Hornbake Quad as I love the greenery and seating outside to do my work!
