Describe your college experience
My first year at Stanford was truly unforgettable. Everyone that I met showed me some part of the world, and some of them I consider to be my best friends. I think that Stanford is in the best location, situated in the beautiful Bay Area where I got outside by camping, hiking, and tidepooling. Being in campus was disorienting at first, but once I found my groove, college helped me learn so much about myself and my passions.
Tip for future students
The very best thing that you can do in your life is to follow what you enjoy and are passionate about. Your passion will be evident in every extracurricular and essay that you write. And it is okay not to know yet! Once you get to college, you will never stop exploring and figuring out who you are. One day, you will find that thing that makes you happy, that you are good at, and are inspired to do even when it is difficult.
Favorite class
Introduction to Geology was a great class. I learned so much about how the Earth works and why our landscapes look the way that they do. The professors were amazing and the labs were very engaging.
Career goals
I want to design landscape as a landscape architect who focuses on creating environments which combat climate change and cultural values by incorporating native plants and environmental engineering.
