Sophomore economics major at the University of Michigan
Hi! I’m Caitlin, I’m a sophomore majoring in economics who is super enthusiastic about Michigan and all the amazing ways to spend your time here. I’m heavily involved in different activities on campus, from sports to volunteering to student publications. I’m happy to talk about anything — social life, academics, and everything in between — and am an expert on the best study spots and coffee shops :)

Describe your college experience
I went from a very small high school to a large college and have had a great experience at Michigan so far. Joining lots of clubs and the smaller honors community has helped the school feel smaller and the transition more smooth
Tip for future students
Go to Festifall and join as many clubs as interest you! It’s the best way to meet people and there are so many fun opportunities.
Favorite class
Econ 101 was my favorite class and is what made me sure I wanted to study economics
Career goals
I am interested in working as a data analyst after college
Ideal way to spend a free night
I love to hang out with friends and try new things or go on random adventures, but I also enjoy spending a chill night in my room listening to music or watching a show
High school or secondary school
Riverdale High School
Favorite spot on campus
The League is a great location and has great food options, I love studying by the windows in between classes
