Sophomore at the University of Michigan Ross School of Business
Hi! My name is Sapna and I am a current student at the University of Michigan! I am studying Business Administration with minors in International Studies and Statistics. I like to be pretty involved on campus as I am in a couple of organizations within the business school and outside of it. In my free time, I like to watch movies, bake, workout, tap dance, and play card games. Euchre is my favorite. I am excited to meet everyone and show you guys what an amazing school UM is!

Describe your college experience
I have absolutely loved my experience here so far. Michigan has made it so easy to make friends and I feel like I have found people I am going to be friends with for the rest of my life. I absoluely love the culture here and you can tell people really care about having fun but also doing well in their classes, they are so ambitious. I have nothing but positive things to say!
Tip for future students
My biggest tip would be to be open to joining any clubs/student run organizations! This is where I have found the biggest community, especially as someone not involved in Greek life. I also would say to get out of your comfort zone a little bit and try something outside of your school/major. I know it can be super scary but you will meet some really interesting and talented people!
Favorite class
So far, my favorite class has been the International Studies First Year Seminar I took the Fall of my Freshman Year. I absolutely loved the professor, you could tell he cared so much, and the class was very engaging and interesting to learn about. We watched documentaries, read comic books, and even explored the undergraduate library during our class time. Along with that, the class was only around 15-20 people so I really got to know my classmates, especially in our weekly discussions.
Career goals
After college I hope to go into a business related field, hopefully Consulting or Sales and Trading, and then eventually make my way to law school.
Ideal way to spend a free night
As an avid movie watcher, a free night always means sitting down with a good meal, some friends, and a Christopher Nolan movie. My favorite right now is Inception, but I love all of them!
