My name is Sydney, and I'm a sophomore at Purdue University. I came to this school from CT because of its exceptional academic programs and welcoming community. I am involved in multiple clubs as well as Greek life. I also have an on campus job. The expanse of my activities on and around campus have given me a great idea on different aspects of life as a student at Purdue!

Describe your college experience

My transition has been good but a challenge the distance from my home. I was far from home and didn't know anyone else when I arrived here. Almost everyone from my high school stayed in-state. I have been able to meet great people here so far. I have been getting very involved and absolutely love all of the organizations I am in. The academics can be challenging, but learning how to study correctly and put work in is part of any college experience.

Tip for future students

I would have prepared some study methods and started studying earlier for my first exam.

Favorite class

My favorite class so far has been ANSC 102 (Introduction to Animal Agriculture)

Career goals

I plan to go to vet school and become a large animal or wildlife veterinarian.
