Describe your college experience

College has been amazing! It was a big change at first, moving so far away from home, but Boulder has been so welcoming and exciting. During my time here, I have loved enjoying all the nature Colorado has to offer, participating in my friends Art Club, taking interesting classes and gaining research experience.

Tip for future students

My number one tip would be to trust the process. Don't panic if things don't feel how you hoped they would right away. Keep putting yourself out there, engaging in the things you love or things you are interested in learning to love, and this will bring you to the right people.

Favorite class

My favorite class has been clinical psychology, the study of mental health disorders and their treatments. I loved the professor and found her teaching style to be very engaging and discussion-based. I also found the material very interesting and relevant to my future career interests.

Career goals

After college, I plan to complete a Psychology Doctorate degree and become a clinical psychologist. I am very interested in the field of forensic psychology and studying how mental health intersects with the law and criminal punishment. I would love to provide care to both victims and perpetrators of crimes, and contribute to rehabilitative justice initiatives.

Ideal way to spend a free night

I love to go out with my friends on Pearl Street or go see live music from the amazing Boulder Student Bands! If I'm not going out, my roommates and I love grilling, playing ping pong, doing arts and crafts, or watching movies at our place.

Favorite spot on campus

I love the grassy field by Sewall Hall for lying in the sun and reading or studying. I also love the CASE building and the Wise Law Library to study.
