Describe your college experience

My transition to college started at Grinnell College where I was a physics major and played football. It was a great experience where I learned to push myself academically and athletically. I then chose to transfer to Mississippi State to study engineering. It was a bit different being at a much larger school, but I adjusted and began to grow as a student!

Tip for future students

1. Learn your study methods and stick to them. Don’t force what doesn’t work for you. 2. USE YOUR RESOURCES!!! They’re there for a reason. Your professors are there to help you, and your classmates are willing to as well. 3. Find something else to do outside of class. You’ll need it, trust.

Favorite class

Heat Transfer because it applies to numerous everyday systems and allowed me to use all of my previous thermodynamics/fluid mechanics knowledge.

Career goals

Work in the automotive industry as a research and development engineer/design engineer.

Ideal way to spend a free night

Chilling with some friends, listening to music!

High school or secondary school

Park Place Christian Academy in Pearl, MS

Previous college

Grinnell College - I enjoyed my time there but I was done playing football and decided to transfer to Mississippi State. The process of getting classes taken care of was a bit difficult, but it was eventually taken care of.
