Senior business major who can show you the best of campus

Hi! I’m Madeline, a senior at Michigan State majoring in Advertising Management with minors in Economics and Business. This is my fourth year on campus, and I’m so proud to call myself a Spartan! I’ve made so many great memories here and really gotten to know the campus and everything it has to offer. During the week, you can usually find me studying at one of the coffee shops along Grand River, walking to class with friends, or taking a Pilates class. On the weekends, I love tailgating before football games and spending time with friends! One of my favorite things to do is walk around campus with my headphones on, which has helped me find some of my favorite spots to study, grab a bite to eat, hang out, or just relax. There’s so much to do at Michigan State, and I’d love to share some of my favorite spots with you! Whether you have questions about campus life, classes, or just want to know how to ease into college, I’m happy to help.

Describe your college experience

I am about to begin my fourth year at Michigan State. I am so proud to be a Spartan. My transition into college was scary, but all the opportunities around campus made it so much easier. I have made so many friends through classes and clubs.

Tip for future students

Get involved in campus! It’s huge and it’s scary, but it is so fun. Greek life and clubs are great ways to make friends. Talk to the person you sit next to in class. Hang out with your favorite coworker. Making new friends is what makes college so great.

Favorite class

My favorite class has been IAH 241: Creative Arts and Humanities: Music and Society in the Modern World. We learned different styles of dance in this class. I loved being social with my peers while trying something new.

Career goals

I hope to become a marketing assistant on a brand team after college. I want to learn more about long-term campaigns and how they’re managed.

Ideal way to spend a free night

My favorite way to spend a free night is with my friends. I love playing games, watching tv, and going on walks.

Notre Dame Academy

Favorite spot on campus

My favorite spot on campus is the banks of the Red Cedar River. It is so beautiful no matter the season. It’s the perfect place to relax, study, and catch up with friends.
