Senior Biomedical Engineering major excited to show you why I love GW!!
Hi! I'm Chloe, a senior biomedical engineering major. I grew up on Long Island and now my family lives in Chicago. Over my past few years at GW I have fell in love with the school and with the city of DC. Outside of classes, I love staying active, whether that’s going to the gym or finding something fun to do with my friends. I also love getting off campus and exploring different parts of D.C., from trying new restaurants and coffee shops to discovering new neighborhoods and things to do around the city. One of my favorite parts of going to GW is how much there is to do both on and off campus, and I’m always looking for new places and experiences to check out. I’d love to show you around campus and give you a firsthand look at what makes GW such a special place. Whether you want to know about classes, student life, or the best places to go around D.C., I’d be excited to share my experience with you!

Describe your college experience
My transition to college has been such an exciting and rewarding experience, and I truly love being a student at George Washington University. I have really enjoyed my classes and feel incredibly supported by my professors, who have made the adjustment to college academics feel much more manageable. Outside of the classroom, I have made an amazing group of friends and have loved spending time with them. I also love living in the city and being surrounded by so many opportunities, activities, and places to explore. Overall, GW has made my transition to college a really positive experience, and I am so grateful for everything I have experienced so far.
Tip for future students
My biggest tip for future students is to keep an open mind and that it's okay to ask for help. Starting school at GW in a big new city can be intimidating, but there are so many resources at GW that make the transition easier. It's really important to utilize all of those resources. Keeping an open mind can make finding friends and trying new things feel a lot easier.
Favorite class
Rehabilitation Medicine Engineering because of all of the hands-on work I was able to do
Career goals
I goal is to go to grad school to become a certified prosthetists and orthotists.
Ideal way to spend a free night
My ideal night can go two ways. I either enjoy a cozy night in with my friends or getting dressed up and going out for a fun night in the city. I love being around my friends and making spontaneous plans, so whether it’s a relaxed night in or a night out, I’m always happiest when I’m surrounded by good people and having a great time.
High school or secondary school
Plainview Old-Bethpage JFK Highschool
Favorite spot on campus
My favorite spot on campus would either be the engineering building or Kogan plaza. I love the engineering building because it has been so nice to be able to have a spot where all of my friends and I can meet up to do homework. I love that engineering students have 24 hr access to the building. I love Kogan plaza during the warmer months because it is a great spot to sit outside and enjoy the warm weather with my friends.
