Describe your college experience
I was nervous coming into UCLA because it is such a big school, but I had the most amazing time coming in and I'm so excited for what's next this upcoming year! There is always something to do on campus or even in the city. There is a club for everyone and so many fun ways to get involved. I've been having the time of my life here and the food is delicious (#1 dining in the nation). I am someone who's branched out and found lots of resources and involvements that make me happy, and there is still even more things that I want to explore! The possibilities are endless.
Tip for future students
Don't be afraid to apply for clubs and other opportunities, even if you think you are going to get rejected! Even if you do get rejected, you can still make friends throughout the process. I wish I didn't let the fear of rejection hold me back at first because I thought that it would be a waste of time if I didn't make it. Although I have been rejected and accepted to different things, you can learn a lot through the process.
Favorite class
I really liked my Creative Nonfiction professional writing class! We shared and peer reviewed everyone's writing as a class on different writing exercises/prompts each week. It was fun to have that workshop every week and write without strict rules because it was creative writing. It made me appreciate the nuances and beauties of life more. Additionally, I also really liked Moving Voice, a class through the dance department where we explored how to make art/songs through sound/voice. It was not just a fun class where we sang songs, but we made our own sort of songs by layering things on top of each other and performed skits in front of the class.
Career goals
I hope to work in media/entertainment! I also think that it would be fun to work in live events or with music/concerts. Lately, I've been doing a lot of social media marketing and would be interested in using my experience there for a full-time job within media/entertainment.
