Describe your college experience
Transitioning from high school to a university as large as Texas A&M, definitely had its learning curves for me. One of my biggest insecurities as a freshman during the fall semester was my lack of community. Getting involved with clubs and volunteer opportunities on campus really helped me expand my horizons, build friendships, and feel more connected to the Spirit of Aggieland.
Tip for future students
Get involved, talk to everyone, go to the games!! You're attending one of the friendliest universities in the country, don't be scared to step outside of your comfort zone and talk to people!
Favorite class
I will never forget the semester I spent in my Ornithology class! I learned SO much about birds from all over the world, and even how to identify them by sound. Friday labs always began with a 1 hour bird walk, and lectures were filled with captivating information that I will carry with me for the rest of my life!
Career goals
My goals include attending graduate school and eventually launching a career as a wildlife biologist with a focus on birds.
Ideal way to spend a free night
I love spending my free nights with my best friends from Aggie Camping. Our favorite thing to do is sit around a fire and catch up with each other over a few s'mores. You know it was a good night when you can still smell the smoke in your hair the next day!
