Describe your college experience

College has been a blast once I got settled in and learn my study, eating, and social habits. I've made so many new friends, while also remaining in frequent contact with friends from my hometown. It was difficult at first getting used to all the things I had to do on my own, but it you'll quickly learn about what works for you and you'll also find your community.

Tip for future students

Don't be shy to talk to others in your classes. Join a few clubs outside of what your academic and career goals are. Use Office Hours as a way to get close to your professors and make that connection.

Favorite class

Calculus 2 has been my favorite class because the professor I had was phenomenal and really set me up for success. I'm a huge numbers and math person because there is something so satisfying about setting up and solving a problem.

Career goals

After college I plan on getting my PE (Professional Engineer) License and working for a civil engineering company that makes a huge impact. I'm still deciding where within civil engineering fits me best, but I know that wherever it is, I want to be out in the field.

Ideal way to spend a free night

Two options: After a long week of exams or studying: Chilling inside the dorm with friends watching movies, playing games, or just talking endlessly. After a normal week: Going out to eat and exploring the city.
