Describe your college experience
Transitioning from Memphis to MSU was pretty hard on me, considering I had never moved away from home. I've met so many great people throughout the last 2 years that have made the transition so much easier!
Tip for future students
Don't feel like you HAVE to join a sorority/fraternity to make friends (if you are against it). You have so many other opportunities to meet people!!
Favorite class
My favorite class so far is either Intro to Ethics or Social Welfare Policy 1. Intro to ethics covers broad categories like animal ethics, environmental ethics, etc.
Career goals
I am wanting to work in a children's hospital. I want to do the mental health side of social work, and work with kids who have/had chronic illnesses and pain. As someone who experienced chronic pain for 3 years as a teenager, I want these children to know that they aren't alone and have someone who knows what they're going through.
Ideal way to spend a free night
Probably cuddled up on the couch with my dog watching a movie and binge eating snacks. Orrr, shooting pool at Southern Billiards in downtown Starkville (I'm not too fond of bars).
