Hi! I'm Siv and I'm a third year psychology major/dance minor from San Jose, CA! You'll often find me on campus listening to music on my long walks, so you can definitely trust that I know my way around! In my free time I like to work out, hang out at the beach/in nature, or grab a coffee (at one of the many spots on campus, but I can tell you which ones are the best). I'm not a big fan of crowded spaces, so I can also tell you the best quiet places to study or just to hang out. I'm very eager to answer any and all questions, so feel free to ask away!

Describe your college experience
My transition to college went pretty smoothly! I came in as a neurobiology major and came to realize that was not where my passion lied, but switching majors was a pretty easy process. I met a lot of people with similar interests as me, but also different ones as part of ERC. There are countless opportunities for students to get involved in, and other students are almost always willing to help out!
Tip for future students
Don't be afraid to push outside your comfort zone and try things you have never tried before. Now is the best time to explore!
Favorite class
PSYC 100 - clinical psychology It gave me a chance to step into the shoes of a clinical psychologist by working through example patient cases and forming diagnoses and treatment plans! TDMV 146 - intermediate latin I'd never danced ballroom prior to this class, but it ended up being one of my favorite dance classes I've taken at UCSD. It really pushed me out of my dance comfort zone and gave me a newfound passion!
Career goals
I plan to purse my master's degree in psychology and eventually become a child psychologist!
