Hi I'm Bonnie, and I'm an incoming senior at UC Berkeley! I currently am on the pre-dental track and am studying Microbial Biology, so feel free to ask any questions about the pre-health school/work balance. I frequently explore the Bay Area and have many food recs, as well as many things to do around Berkeley.

Describe your college experience
Growing up in the Bay Area, transitioning to Berkeley wasn't too far for me, but it was still a completely new world. As the first university student in my family, I didn't know what to expect, but through my orientation experience and entry into clubs, I slowly found my groundings within UC Berkeley. I knew I wanted to pursue Biology, and later developed a passion for dentistry and disease prevention through my time in research labs and dental clubs. I've had a great time at UC Berkeley and have shaped it to be my second home!
Tip for future students
I recommend preparing for the clubs you want to apply to early since the application processes are very fast and only last within the first few weeks of school starting. Also, be prepared to have a list of your classes early on before the actual class registration day. It's great to make friends in classes to meet new people, get instagrams, and have references in case you miss a class day. I also recommend the study abroad program and have heard great things from everyone who went to different cities.
Favorite class
My favorite class has been CHEM3B, Organic Chemistry, because my professor, Pete Marsden, has been the most energetic and lively professor I have ever attended a lecture with. He made a daunting subject so fun, and I really appreciated how he explained a hard topic in such depth. I was able to easily engage with the material and have many opportunities to show what I learned.
Career goals
I hope to pursue a second Bachelor's in Dental Hygiene to work as a hygienist after my 2 degrees!
Ideal way to spend a free night
My ideal way to spend a night is to grab dessert at Yogurt Park and watch some movies with my friends!
