Positive HOD major with the best insight to everything Vanderbilt
Hi! I’m Bryn, a sophomore Human and Organizational Development major with minors in Business and Anthropology. While originally from Idaho, the lively music scene led me to Nashville and I couldn’t be happier. Although far from home, I’ve found the best ways to explore a new (much larger) city, and make it my own! When I’m not in class, you can find me going on scenic walks (Centennial Park is the BEST), doing hot pilates or yoga with my roommate, or grabbing a meal at EBI—the best dining hall by the way. I hope you choose me to explore Vanderbilt!

Describe your college experience
While the transition to college is always difficult, Vanderbilt makes it close to seamless for incoming freshman. They work hard to integrate new students socially and academically while emphasizing their overall wellbeing.
Tip for future students
It sounds basic, but show up to class! You can always get a summary, but nothing beats being there and learning it yourself.
Favorite class
My favorite class has been Intro to Language and Culture because of the introduction to anthropology it gave me. It completely changed my perspective on the world and the people in it.
Career goals
I hope to work in the music industry (maybe even in Nashville)!
Ideal way to spend a free night
My favorite way to spend a free night is to go out and try something new. I’m new to Nashville, and love trying new dinner spots or random activities.
High school or secondary school
Payette High School
Favorite spot on campus
My favorite spot on campus is the wellness room in Peabody Library. It has comfy bean bag chairs, a sound machine, and kinetic sand to help relax after a stressful day.
