Describe your college experience

I absolutely love Michigan State University! My freshman year, I struggled as a first-generation college student from a lower-income family. It was difficult to understand the ropes of university life and everything that came with it, but as I've progressed and worked with my advisor, I've been connected to several resources on campus to help make my experience here at MSU an amazing one. This includes access to the food pantry, educational advisors, and the Spartan One-Stop, which helps with any FAFSA or financial questions. No question has been a dumb one-I've been met with so much help an understanding from my MSU community

Tip for future students

My biggest tip for students is to utilize campus resources; accessing these things is easy and so helpful.

Favorite class

I loved my Story Sound & Motion class from last year because it gave me the chance to learn hands on experience in Adobe editing software as well as the basics to filming, audio, and creating content that is relevant to what different companies are looking for in their media. This and my professor was awesome!

Career goals

Work for a nonprofit I am passionate about, assisting with their media needs.

Ideal way to spend a free night

I am a big fan of a relaxing night in; it gives me time to slow down, focus on self-care, and journal or watch a movie with my roommates. Either this or having a fun night with my college friends.

High school or secondary school

Blissfield Community Schools

Favorite spot on campus

I love to sit next to the Red Cedar River over by the MSU library and study or find some calm amidst my busy schedule during the semester.
