Outgoing HDFS major on the pre-PA track who loves meeting new people!
Hi! I’m Soliyana, a Human Development and Family Science major on the pre-PA track from Suwanee, Georgia! You can usually find me studying at the MLC, grabbing coffee at a cute coffee shop in Athens, exploring campus, hanging out with friends, or enjoying a concert downtown. I love meeting new people, trying new things, and taking advantage of all the amazing opportunities UGA has to offer. I’m so excited to share my UGA experience and help future students feel just as welcomed and excited about campus as I did!

Describe your college experience
Transitioning to UGA was both exciting and challenging, but getting involved on campus helped me quickly feel at home. Through my classes, volunteering, research, and student organizations, I've grown both personally and academically. I'd love the opportunity to share my experience and help prospective students feel excited about joining the UGA community.
Tip for future students
Don't be afraid to get involved early. Join clubs, go to campus events, and introduce yourself to people you never know what opportunities or friendships will come from it. College goes by quickly, so take advantage of everything UGA has to offer.
Favorite class
My favorite class has been my Humman developemnt research class. It allowed me to gain so much insight into research in such a fascinating field of work. It also allowed me to gain real life research experience.
Career goals
After college, I hope to attend physician assistant school and become a pediatric physician assistant, where I can provide compassionate, patient-centered care to children and their families.
Ideal way to spend a free night
My ideal free night is either going to a concert in downtown Athens or spending time with my friends at my apartment. I enjoy relaxing, listening to live music, and making memories with the people I'm close to.

Favorite spot on campus
My favorite place on campus is the Memorial Garden right next to the Miller Learning Center (MLC). It's a peaceful place to relax between classes, study, and enjoy the beauty of campus.
