Hi. I am Ayan Iyer, a junior in Rutgers Business School majoring in BAIT (Business Analytics and Information Technology). I love rock climbing, soccer, tennis and playing guitar. I'm willing to show you what a great time you can have around campus, even though it may look chaotic at first. Clubs, organizations & involvement

I'm part of the Music and Technology Club on Cook​/​Douglass campus, of which meetings are held around every week. I've been able to fully explore my creative interests through creating music with other like-minded musicians, and am looking forward to expand my musical horizons much further in the future too.

Describe your college experience

College has been a major transformatory phase of my life. I've become more responsible and focused when I'm on my own in an apartment, where I cook and perform other tasks for myself. So I'm definitely grateful for the opportunity to have come a long way since high school.

Tip for future students

Take it easy. The courses may seem intimidating at first, but it is only your freshman year. Don't forget to enjoy the occasional side quests.

Favorite class

My favorite class was Management skills, because I got to interact with everybody in class, and form opinions.

Career goals

I aspire to sell a small software startup to a big company for a lot of money, which will enable me to spend time doing things I love, like learning new instruments, and rock climbing.

Ideal way to spend a free night

The perfect free night would be sauntering around with my friends on the outskirts of rutgers, around evening time, while listening to our evening walk playlists.

Favorite spot on campus

My favorite spot on campus is a spot under a bridge, on the walk from College Ave to Busch, overlooking the river. It brings a sense of calm and purpose, and I even have a select music playlist I listen to when I find myself there (hits different as the sun is setting).
