Hey, I'm Tyler, a junior studying Communications here at Coastal. Originally from New Jersey, but I've been in Conway for about seven years now, and I've watched this place flourish into what it is today. If you happen to run into me on campus, I'm most definitely either at the HTC gym loading up more weight onto the bar than I should, over at Willy B gassing myself out with some full court hoops, or at Thompson Library pretending to have some self-discipline and studying. To me this place is like a resort, not a campus, and I'm not just saying that because I'm from the north. It's always warm, with palm trees everywhere, ponds full of wildlife, spouting fountains, and gorgeous architecture all around. True story: back in high school, I toured App State and Coastal in the same week, both in April. App State's campus was thirty degrees with freezing rain, and there wasn't a soul out. Here in Conway? It was 85 and sunny and so vibrant that I thought this place was fake. As someone who lived on campus in the freshman dorms for two straight years, I can give you the real tour, and hopefully prove that myself and the rest of this campus are, in fact, real.

Describe your college experience

My college experience has overall been enjoyable, especially once I started exploring what Coastal had to offer.

Tip for future students

Your dorm should ideally only be used for sleeping and showering! Get out as much as possible, meet people, explore the campus, join clubs, anything.

Favorite class

My COMM classes are great, the professors I've had are constantly keeping the courses engaging and enjoyable.

Career goals

I hope to become a creative director for a Division-1 Football team, and eventually an NFL team.

Ideal way to spend a free night

Meeting up with my friends, going out to grab food and watch sports.

Green Sea Floyd's High School

Favorite spot on campus

Thompson Library. Such a great spot to hang out and unwind after a long day of classes or exams, and also a great study spot.
