Outgoing Business Student and the Biggest UGA Fan You'll Meet
Hi! I'm Emma, a student at the University of Georgia's Terry College of Business. I moved to Georgia from upstate New York, and what started as a new adventure quickly turned into feeling right at home. I absolutely love the SEC atmosphere, especially the incredible Dawgs culture, and there's nothing like game days in Athens! When I'm not in class, you'll probably find me at a dance class, trying out a new fitness studio around Athens, or on a mission to find the city's best ice cream. I love exploring local businesses and discovering new favorite spots around town. Whether you're visiting for a campus tour, move-in weekend, a football game, or just exploring Athens, I'd love to help make your trip even better. I'm always happy to share my favorite restaurants, coffee shops, workout studios, and hidden gems so you can experience Athens like a local. I can't wait to welcome you!

Describe your college experience
Coming to a true Southern school from the North was intimidating, and I absolutely had a bit of culture shock, but I am so grateful I took that risk. UGA has felt like home for the past two years because I feel like it is an environment where everyone around me wants me to succeed. I have made the best friends and connections, and have truly enjoying getting involved in the campus spirit.
Tip for future students
I wish I knew that everyone going in was just as clueless as I was, so nothing you do or try will be wrong! Join clubs that interest you, go through panhellenic recruitment even if it's scary, and say yes because you never know where it will lead. If you get rejected from something, its just rdirection, since there are a thousand more opportunities waiting for you.
Favorite class
My favorite class so far has been business law. I had a teacher who made coming to class enjoyable by giving real world examples and encouraging in-class participation. The subject as a whole was also fascinating, since I was able to see how much the law affects my everyday life, and how it will in the future going into business.
Career goals
I hope to stay at UGA through our Double dawgs program for a fifth year and recieve my Masters in Health Administration, then I plan on working in healthcare finance.
Ideal way to spend a free night
My perfect night would have to be standing beside my best friends in Sanford Stadium, cheering on the Dawgs to a win. There is nothing quite like a night game!

Favorite spot on campus
My favorite spot on campus has to be the business school. Being there, I feel so inspired, and the beautiful buildings and rooms (as well as the convenient Dunkin) makes it a place that is perfect to study at, meet and chat with friends, and reminds me how incredibly lucky I am to be studying at that school.
